Jr. Buyer

We are offering a contract to full-time employment opportunity for a Jr. Buyer in North Houston. This role is crucial in processing RFQs for indirect and R& D materials while ensuring adherence to procurement regulations. The selected candidate will work in tandem with the Purchasing Manager to promptly fulfill purchase requests, optimizing response times by examining new purchase requisitions to meet operational needs. This position is fully onsite, Monday-Friday from 8-5.

Responsibilities:

• Process RFQs for indirect and R& D materials, ensuring compliance with procurement procedures

• Review vendor quotes for accuracy, pricing, quality, and delivery timelines, ensuring smooth payment processes

• Foster detail-oriented relationships with vendors and promptly communicate identified risks to leadership

• Monitor and track orders at risk of delayed delivery, proactively mitigating potential delays

• Source new vendors

• Maintain meticulous purchase documentation, facilitating audits and reference

• Update purchase order due dates based on logistics and vendor schedules

• Efficiently allocate resources for maximum productivity

• Demonstrate autonomy, seeking guidance from management when needed

• Effectively communicate across all business levels, demonstrating strong verbal and written skills

• Contribute to cross-functional projects enhancing supply chain efficiency

• Proven experience in inventory controls and analysis

• Strong skills and knowledge in procurement

• Ability to conduct contract negotiations effectively

• Experience in coordinating and managing deliveries

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field preferred

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus

• Oil and Gas or Manufacturing industry experience highly preferred
