Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Location: Woods, KS

Position Type: Full-Time, Onsite

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team for the current school year.This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the academic, social, and emotional growth of students with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs.
  • Create engaging and inclusive lesson plans, adapting instruction for students with varying abilities.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to support student learning and progress.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to foster an inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters preferred).
  • State teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting, especially those with special needs, preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
