About the Position:
Soliant Education is seeking a qualified School Psychologist for an onsite, full-time contract position in the North Andover, MA area for the 2024-2025 school year. In this role, you will work closely with students in both General Education and Special Education settings, providing psychological assessments, counseling services, and collaborating with school teams to support student success.

To be eligible, candidates must hold a valid license as a School Psychologist from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. This position offers a supportive school environment and the opportunity to make a significant impact on the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations for students, including assessments of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
  • Prepare detailed evaluation reports with clear recommendations for academic accommodations and interventions.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing a range of emotional, social, and behavioral challenges.
  • Actively participate in IEP/ARD meetings, providing evaluation results and collaborating with parents, teachers, and school staff to develop and implement individualized student support plans.
  • Consult with teachers and staff to develop behavior management strategies and provide guidance on academic and behavioral interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of evaluations, meetings, counseling sessions, and other related documentation.
  • Provide crisis intervention and develop plans for managing student behavioral issues.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including special education laws and ethical standards of school psychology.
  • Work closely with parents, teachers, and school staff to address academic and emotional concerns and ensure students receive the support they need.

Requirements:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
  • Valid license as a School Psychologist from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).
  • Previous experience conducting psychological evaluations, writing reports, and providing individual and group counseling.
  • Strong understanding of special education processes, including IEPs/ARDs, and experience with behavioral interventions.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to collaborate effectively with parents, teachers, and school staff.
  • Crisis intervention and behavior management experience is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive student data.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a caseload effectively.
