Position: Special Education Teacher
Location: Thornton, CO
Pay: Competitive rate of $33-40 per hour
Employment Type: W2, Weekly direct deposit

- Hours: Full-time, 30-40 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, with flexibility in scheduling
As a Special Education Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with disabilities in Thornton by providing personalized instruction and support.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of students with disabilities.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in both general education and special education settings.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best educational outcomes for students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed to meet individual goals.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records related to student progress and IEP documentation.
- Stay current with best practices and research in special education to provide high-quality instruction.
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Current Colorado teaching license in Special Education or eligibility for licensure.
- Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
- Screening Call: Approximately 10-15 minutes with our recruiting team.
- Zoom Interview: Detailed interview session with the hiring team to discuss your qualifications and fit for the role.
- Offers: Typically extended within 24 hours after the Zoom interview.
