Intermediate Accountant

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are in search of an Intermediate Accountant to join our team in Griffin, Georgia. This role is primarily focused on various aspects of accounting, including but not limited to intercompany transactions, budgeting, and forecasting. The candidate will also be expected to handle full cycle accounting tasks and engage with franchise and POS systems.

Responsibilities:
• Engage in full cycle accounting, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions.
• Manage intercompany transactions, reconciling any discrepancies and ensuring proper documentation.
• Utilize accounting software systems to streamline and optimize accounting functions.
• Oversee the budgeting process, ensuring all financial projections are accurate and realistic.
• Conduct monthly forecasting to predict financial outcomes and guide business decisions.
• Handle franchise tax returns diligently, liaising with franchise owners as necessary.
• Manage the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately reported.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are processed in a timely manner.
• Utilize POS - Point of Sale systems to track sales data and generate reports.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain financial security.• Candidate must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is mandatory.
• Knowledge of CaseWare, Ceridian, and Concur is expected.
• Ability to handle accounting functions such as Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential.
• Understanding of Accrual Accounting is necessary.
• Experience in Auditing is a must.
• Knowledge of POS - Point of Sale system is preferred.
• Familiarity with Income Franchise, Franchise Tax Return, and Franchise Tax is desirable.
