Are you an experienced architect seeking a leadership role where you can make a meaningful impact on a variety of projects? My client, a well-established architecture and consulting firm, is looking for a Senior Architect to join their Seattle office. This is an opportunity to work on diverse project types while mentoring junior staff and contributing to the growth of a collaborative team.

About the Role
As the Senior Architect, you will play a critical role in project success by overseeing the preparation and review of architectural drawings, ensuring high-quality deliverables. You'll work on a wide range of project types, including multifamily residential, commercial, and healthcare facilities. This position offers the chance to provide technical expertise on building envelope and repair projects while collaborating with and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the signing architect for projects, stamping and approving drawings for the Seattle office.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of architectural drawings, providing redline feedback and ensuring revisions are implemented.
  • Lead and mentor junior staff to develop their technical and professional skills.
  • Oversee and contribute to projects focusing on multifamily, commercial, and healthcare buildings, including building envelope and repair work.
  • Apply technical knowledge to design and construction challenges, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions that meet client needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensure as an Architect (Washington State licensure preferred or ability to obtain).
  • Extensive experience reviewing, stamping, and approving architectural drawings.
  • Familiarity with building envelope systems is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
  • Experience in multifamily, commercial, and healthcare project types, particularly those involving repair or renovation work.
  • Strong mentoring skills with a collaborative and team-focused mindset.
  • Proficiency in relevant design software and tools.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
