Key Responsibilities:

As a Travel Pharmacist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications within the hospital. Your duties will include:

  • Order Verification: Accurately review and approve medication orders for patients.
  • Supervising Technicians: Lead and oversee pharmacy technicians to maintain high operational standards.
  • Collaborating with Physicians and Nurses: Act as a clinical consultant for medication therapy decisions, providing expertise on plex cases.
  • Pharmacokinetics & Therapeutic Monitoring: Monitor and adjust dosages based on individual patient needs, ensuring optimal therapeutic outes.
  • Operational Efficiency: Contribute to maintaining a seamless workflow in a busy hospital setting.

Facility: 400+ bed medical center known for its excellence in patient care and innovation.
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 13 weeks, with potential for extensions or longer-term placement.

Schedule:
  • Primary Shift: Evening shift, 2:30 PM 11:00 PM.
  • Flexibility: Some day shifts may be required based on departmental needs.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
  • Licensure: Active Tennessee Pharmacist license (in good standing).
  • Experience:
    • pletion of a PGY1 residency is highly preferred, OR
    • A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital pharmacy experience in a facility of parable size.
  • Technology: Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records system.
  • Skills: Strong clinical acumen, excellent munication skills, and a collaborative team approach.
