Position: Definitive Observation Unit Clinical Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital 23845 McBean Pkwy, Valencia, CA 91355
Shift: Nights 7pm - 7am, every other weekend and rotating holidays
Pay: Pay is based on experience between $47.90 and $70.74/hr; Other Incentives: Shift Differential, Benefits (Health, dental, etc.), Tuition reimbursement, PTO, sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 (1 year commitment).
Requirements::
- License: Current California RN license
- Certification: Current BLS and ACLS and PALS; Telemetry course certification or equivalent experience required; Certified in field of specialty (CCRN, PCCN, Trauma) preferred.
- Experience: 1 year related acute hospital experience, DOU or stepdown
- Education: ASN
Job Summary::
- Accurately interprets patient's cardiac rhythm strips.
- Notifies physician of any changes in patient's cardiac rhythm.
- Manages patients who are stable on ventilators in collaboration with the respiratory therapist and physicians.
- Manages stable hemodynamic monitoring.
- Effectively engages patients, families, and/or significant others regarding the plan of care, short and long term goals, progression toward goal achievement, including discharge planning.
