Full Charge Bookkeeper

FULL CHARGE BOOKKEEPER OPPORTUNITY IN SHIRLEY, LONG ISLAND

Anna Parson at Robert Half is seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join a small manufacturing team in the Shirley area. As a Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will handle a variety of tasks, including managing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining financial records, and performing bank reconciliations for Multiple Companies. As the Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will:

• Process full cycle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Handle intercompany accounts and transactions
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial information
• Oversee cash management activities and ensure efficient use of resources
• Utilize ADP - Payroll system to process payroll and record related payroll entries
• Maintain accurate records of fixed asset accounting
• Prepare and post journal entries as part of the financial reporting process
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a bookkeeping role in a manufacturing setting

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with ADP - Payroll is required

• Knowledge of Intercompany Accounts and Intercompany Transactions

• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations accurately

• Experience in Cash Management

• Proficiency in Fixed Asset Accounting

• Familiarity with creating Journal Entries

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word

• Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to handle pressure
