Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to operate and maintain a variety of machines to produce precision parts and tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings, as well as the ability to ensure that all operations adhere to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand job requirements.
  • Set up, adjust, and operate a variety of machine tools, including CNC machines, lathes, and grinders.
  • Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications using precision measuring tools.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure its efficiency and longevity.
  • Monitor and control feed rate and speed during the machining process.
  • Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Machinist.
  • Experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated, or automated tools and machines.
  • Ability to use precision tools (e.g., calipers) to take accurate measurements.
  • Knowledge of the properties of metal and other materials.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
  • Good at math with analytical abilities.
  • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset.

Schedule:1st Shift- 6/7am-330/430pm (40+hrs weekly)
