Illinois Speech Language Pathologist: 24/25 SY


Soliant is collaborating with a school network near Trout Valley, IL, and is seeking a contract Speech-Language Pathologist to work with Pre K-8th grade students.

This is a great opportunity for SLPs who want to be part of a mission to bring different education models to a sector of the wider community.

Additional information about the school, and the building assignments, will be shared in a direct interview with school administrators, following a successful phone screening with Soliant representatives.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communications Disorders
  • Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License, issued by theIllinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Professional Educators' License (PEL), issued by the Illinois State Board of Education
  • 37.5 Hours per week.


As a school-based SLP, you will:

  • Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs.
  • Present evaluation results and propose IEP (Individual Education Plan) goals at IEP meetings
  • Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders.
  • Develop individualized education plans and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations.
  • Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload.
  • Provide reports of a students progress to parents.
  • Organize student caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school.
  • Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.
