Position Overview:

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and passionate School Paraprofessional to support our students and teachers in creating a positive and effective learning environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers and students, providing assistance in instructional activities, managing classroom behavior, and fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers with instructional activities, including preparing materials and providing individual or small group support to students.
  • Monitor and manage student behavior in accordance with school policies and procedures.
  • Support students with special needs, including those with individualized education plans (IEPs), ensuring they receive appropriate acmodations and support.
  • Help create a positive and engaging classroom environment that supports student learning and well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to address student needs and promote academic and social success.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and municate effectively with the teaching staff.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or a degree in education or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is advantageous.
  • Strong munication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student learning and development.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing needs and priorities in a dynamic classroom environment.
