Job DescriptionJob Description
Job Summary:We are looking for an experienced Reach Truck Driver to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience operating reach trucks and other material handling equipment in a warehouse setting. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Reach Truck Driver will be responsible for safely maneuvering heavy equipment, handling materials, and supporting warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Reach Truck Operation:
  • Safely operate the reach truck and other warehouse equipment to move materials, products, and equipment as required.
  • Warehouse Support:
  • Work in a warehouse environment handling various tasks, including storing and retrieving goods, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including material handling, stocking, and organizing the warehouse.
  • Physical Handling:
  • Ability to lift tool cases and assorted equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Move objects on wheels weighing up to 700 pounds and handle heavy equipment on a consistent basis.
  • Work Environment:
  • Work in confined spaces while ensuring safety and maintaining proper handling procedures.
  • Regularly expose oneself to work conditions such as chemical solvents and cleaners, and minor cuts and burns.
  • Work Conditions:
  • Warehouse environment with adequate lighting, ventilation, and a normal range of temperature and noise levels.
  • Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling to service equipment at floor level.

Minimum Requirements:Experience:
  • 1 year of warehouse or related experience.
  • Experience with Reach Trucks is required, with evidence of driving proficiency listed on the resume.

Skills:
  • Ability to drive forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
  • Basic computer knowledge to manage and track inventory and equipment.
  • Ability to interpret, comprehend, and apply complex materials, data, and instructions.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, regularly lifting heavy materials and moving large objects.
  • Safety Awareness:
  • Awareness of safety protocols, particularly when handling chemicals and heavy machinery, and ensuring a safe work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
