We are seeking a skilled Welder II to join our team. This position is responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal and other weldable materials by applying appropriate welding techniques and operating various welding equipment.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate welding equipment to fabricate and assemble materials based on job specifications (including Tig, Plasma, Fusion, Resistance, Auto, Electron-beam, and Stud processes).
• Set up welding equipment based on job specifications.
• Maintain welding equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine specific welding requirements.
• Check welds visually and dimensionally with precision measuring instruments for conformance to blueprints and specifications.
• Manufacture and maintain component parts and fixtures as required.
• Consistently maintain specific tolerances and accurately perform dimensions.
• Check parts using specified gauges or furnished fixtures to ensure dimensions are being maintained.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures; follow all applicable safety rules and precautions.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Working knowledge of shop geometry and trigonometry.
• Trade qualified with a recognized apprenticeship.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Strong mathematical ability.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and blueprints.

Education/Experience:

• Professional welding certification.
• Three (3) years of relevant experience working with a variety of metals, including exotic metals.
