We are in the search for a Sr. Accountant to join our team in the Oil & Gas - Field Services industry, located in Midland, Texas. In this role, you will be tasked with a variety of accounting duties including financial report preparation, account reconciliations, and audit assistance.


Responsibilities:


• Analyzing financial data and preparing detailed reports

• Forecasting expenditures and preparing revenue projections

• Assisting in the preparation and monitoring of budgets

• Reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts

• Assisting with preparation for annual audits

• Investigating and resolving audit findings, discrepancies in accounts, and issues of non-compliance

• Preparing tax returns for federal, state, local, and special taxes

• Aiding in the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures

• Assisting the accounts receivable team with resolution of invoice disputes and other issues

• Maintaining accurate customer information in accounting software

• Researching and resolving customer payment issues

• Communicating professionally with the operation management team

• Assisting in the collection of aging customer accounts

• Supporting other accounting staff as required or assigned.

• Hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Have extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly in field services.
• Proven track record in financial reporting, including preparation and analysis of financial statements.
• Demonstrated expertise in account reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
• Proficiency in performing audit tasks, including internal and external audit processes.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Excellent analytical skills to interpret financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and other relevant computer applications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with different departments.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Possess strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
• Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or a similar detail oriented accounting qualification would be advantageous.
