Volt is immediately hiring for a Thin Film Coating Inspector in Charlotte, NC.

As an Inspector, you will:

  • Inspect uncoated and coated parts for cosmetic defects
  • Clean and fixture all standard products
  • Strip coatings off all standard products with minimal etching reject
  • Clean and maintain tooling after coating runs
  • Participate in the Housekeeping and Tooling rotation
  • Complete all associated process documentation
  • Work with process improvement teams
This is a full-time opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Able to work with small parts - visual acuity and manual dexterity skills are required for handling laser rods
  • Able to inspect parts using a stereo-inspection microscope
  • Able to operate equipment without supervision
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word are desired
  • Regular, punctual attendance is required
  • Unscheduled overtime and/or shift flexibility may be required
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
