We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Certified Payroll Specialist in RIO RANCHO, New Mexico, 87124-1437, United States. As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing our organization's payroll system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with various laws and policies.


Responsibilities:


• Accurately compiling, entering, and managing payroll data using appropriate software.

• Providing solutions for staff queries regarding payroll issues.

• Performing calculations for salaries, benefits, tax deductions, and commissions.

• Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws as well as company policies during payroll processing.

• Assisting in annual W-2 distribution and reporting.

• Processing new hires, terminations, transfers, and promotions in a timely manner.

• Preparing and documenting reports on payroll activities.

• Participating in internal audits as required.

• Resolving all payroll-related discrepancies.

• Utilizing skills in 'Accounting Software Systems', 'ADP - Financial Services', 'ADP Workforce Now', 'Ceridian', 'Dayforce', '401k - RRSP Administration', 'About Time', 'Accounting Functions', 'Auditing', 'Benefit Functions' to effectively manage payroll operations.

• Certified payroll with knowledge of differentials, prevailing wages, and 3rd party ADP systems

  • Excel - v-lookups
  • Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Experience with ADP Workforce Now

• Knowledge of Ceridian and Dayforce software

• Ability to handle 401k - RRSP Administration

• Proficient in using About Time Software

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in Auditing

• Knowledge of Benefit Functions
