Civil Engineer

Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000, based on experience

Join a growing engineering firm as a Civil Engineer in Clifton Park, NY. Our client has two openings available: one for an entry-level candidate and one for an experienced professional. These are fully in-office roles offering competitive pay, great benefits, and the opportunity to work on exciting infrastructure and construction projects.

Responsibilities (Experienced Role):

  • Lead bridge and culvert design projects, including layout, permitting, and documentation.
  • Oversee work zone traffic control plans and coordinate permits.
  • Prepare and review calculations and plans for structural designs, including shoring, lifting, and demolition.
  • Provide mentorship to entry-level engineers and manage project budgets and schedules.
  • Conduct site inspections, structural analyses, and develop repair solutions.

Responsibilities (Entry-Level Role):

  • Assist in the design and documentation of bridges, culverts, and other infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare plans and calculations for structural engineering designs.
  • Conduct site inspections, structural analyses, and draft reports.
  • Collaborate with senior staff on innovative construction solutions.
  • Participate in construction inspections for design projects.

Qualifications (Both Roles):

  • Entry-Level: Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited); 0-4 years of experience; I.E. (E.I.T.) certification preferred. Must have a concentration in Structures.
  • Experienced: Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited); 3-15 years of experience; Licensed Professional Engineer or near completion preferred.
  • Proficiency with design software like Microstation, AutoCAD, Mathcad, RISA, and Excel is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills for client and team interactions.
