Job Overview:
Soliant Education is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicatedSchool Psychologistfor afull-time, onsiteposition inOxford, MIfor the2024-2025 school year. This is a contract position offering a petitive salary, health benefits, and a supportive work environment. The selected candidate will work closely with students, staff, and families to provide services that support both academic achievement and mental health.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct prehensive psycho-educational assessments and evaluations for students with special needs or academic concerns.
  • Provide individual and group counseling services to students, focusing on mental health, social-emotional skills, and coping strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 Plans.
  • Provide crisis intervention and behavioral support as necessary.
  • Offer consultation services to school staff to address student behavioral challenges, learning issues, and mental health needs.
  • Conduct classroom observations and work with educators to create positive learning environments.
  • Contribute to school-wide programs and initiatives aimed at fostering a positive school climate.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
  • Valid Michigan School Psychologist certification or eligibility.
  • Previous experience as a school psychologist, preferably in a K-12 setting.
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEPs, and 504 Plans.
  • Excellent munication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of school stakeholders, including students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of students.
