Job Description

This position involves a variety of technical tasks related to the assembly of new and returned electrical control panels and/or oil minder products. Responsibilities include identifying and pulling parts, assembling panels, performance testing, and preparing products for shipment. The role also involves processing paperwork, maintaining serial number and production logs, modifying parts, performing facility maintenance, and other duties as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble mechanical and electrical elements of control panels and oil minders, including floats, probes, heater elements, circuitry, voltage wiring, enclosures, PLCs, VFDs, and similar components.
  • Utilize assembly tools such as electrical meters, wrenches, torques, screwdrivers, electric drills, hacksaws, and similar tools.
  • Inspect electrical wiring and controls using precision electrical instrumentation, including volt-ohm meters.
  • Interpret manuals and electrical wiring schematics, translating them into proper assembly procedures and ensuring the quality of completed panels or oil minder products.
  • Provide feedback to the production manager for planning production schedules.
  • Offer technical information to Sales, Engineering, and Quality teams regarding product performance and potential improvement areas.
  • Collaborate with various functional disciplines to meet production requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and quality efforts to enhance operations.
  • Perform daily work safely, considering fellow employees and complying with OSHA safety standards.
  • Adapt to changing duties, responsibilities, and activities as needed.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in mechanical and electrical equipment and manufacturing assembly.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and understand electrical components.
  • Experience in AC/DC wiring.
  • Proficiency in using computers and software programs, including MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Technical school degree in mechanical, electrical, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in a technical manufacturing or similar environment.
  • Ability to learn quickly and advance based on new knowledge.
  • Minimal travel required.

Work Environment

The role involves frequent sitting, standing, and walking, as well as occasional twisting, bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching above. Employees will use a variety of machinery and tools, and must adhere to OSHA safety standards at all times.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $ $20.00/hr.
