Job DescriptionJob DescriptionContact Lens Technician: Freeport, IllinoisA well-established provider of optometry services and vision care products in the Freeport community is seeking an organized and customer-focused individual to join their team as an Optometry Technician. This facility has been proudly serving the area since 1985 and is dedicated to helping clients achieve and maintain clear vision for years to come.
Responsibilities of the Contact Lens Technician:
  • Assist the optometrist with patient care, including conducting pre-testing and gathering patient history.
  • Perform diagnostic testing using specialized equipment to support the doctor’s examinations.
  • Educate patients about eye care and the use of vision products.
  • Maintain and sanitize equipment and exam rooms to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and answering phone inquiries.
  • Assist patients in selecting eyewear and provide information about lens options and coatings.
  • Help with inventory management and product ordering.

Contact Lens Technician Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in optometry, ophthalmology, or healthcare is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in using office software.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a healthcare environment.

Pay for Contact Lens Technician: $16.50
Contact Lens Technician Benefits:

 Shift Details:
  • Shift: 1st Shift
  • Hours: 8am-5pm
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday with occasional Saturdays on holiday weeks.
