We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Buyer located near the Gilberts, Illinois area. The role involves managing a range of procurement processes in a dynamic team environment. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for processing purchase orders, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring timely deliveries. You will also play a key role in managing team communications and maintaining vendor relationships.


Experience in a manufacturing or purchasing environment with a focus on accuracy and quality highly preferred


Responsibilities:

• Process purchase orders in a timely and efficient manner

• Negotiate with vendors to secure advantageous terms and prices

• Manage team communications to ensure smooth operations

• Ensure timely deliveries by coordinating with vendors and internal teams

• Support general vendors in their operations

• Handle customer service inquiries related to procurement processes

• Maintain accurate records of all procurement processes

• Manage vendor relationships and handle any issues that arise

• Assist with budgeting processes related to procurement activities

• Ensure all procurement activities align with internal policies and industry regulations.

• Demonstrated experience in budget processes

• Familiarity with buying processes

• Strong customer service skills

• Ability to manage and process invoices efficiently

• Experience in vendor relations management

• Proven ability to manage vendor relationships effectively

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Knowledge of procurement regulations and procedures

• Strong analytical skills to evaluate vendor proposals

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other related software

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred
