Position: Paraprofessional
Location: Near Portsmouth, RI
Hourly Rate: Up to $28/hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associates degree or higher preferred).
  • Paraprofessional certification or ability to obtain certification as required by Rhode Island state guidelines.

About the Role:
As a Paraprofessional, you will work under the direction of classroom teachers and special education staff to assist students in their academic, behavioral, and social development. You will play a key role in supporting students with individualized needs and helping to create a positive learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students to reinforce learning.
  • Support students with special needs by implementing IEP goals under teacher supervision.
  • Help maintain an organized and safe classroom environment.
  • Assist with classroom management, including behavior redirection and social-emotional support.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to promote student success.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or higher preferred.
  • Paraprofessional certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Prior experience working with children in a school setting is a plus.
  • Strong munication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to foster a supportive and inclusive environment for all students.

Pay and pensation:
