Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Summary: We are seeking contract professionals for Client Technician roles supporting Client. This challenging and rewarding opportunity is perfect for individuals looking to join a growing business in a career role. The position includes on-the-job training (approximately 3 weeks) to quickly acquire critical technical skills. Successful candidates may be considered for permanent roles based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate assigned chemical and/or gas distribution systems.
- Handle and change out gas, chemical, and slurry containers.
- Troubleshoot gas and chemical equipment, performing preventative and repair maintenance.
- Conduct computer operations to support job functions and customer needs.
- Support quality systems and maintain compliance with safety protocols.
- Walk up to 5 or 6 miles per day.
- Occasionally climb a tanker truck (18-wheeler) using fall protection to off-load chemicals.
- May need to wear a Contained Breathing Air Respirator while working with chemicals (approximately 10-15 minutes).
- Lift up to 40 lbs; bend knees and reach overhead as required.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided, including safety glasses, hard hats, ear plugs, chemical aprons, gloves, etc.
- Workers will receive a voucher for required safety boots.
- Complete a Fit for Duty Evaluation prior to starting and annually, which includes a Pulmonary Function Test, audiogram baseline, and physical exam.
- Complete hazardous communication training (Right to Know) before commencing work.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Experience in maintenance, equipment technician roles, or in a mechanical/electronic environment.
- Familiarity with chemical and gas distribution equipment.
- Military training is a plus.
- Strong technical aptitude and excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Desire to learn; college graduates or individuals with a military background are encouraged to apply.
