Job Summary: We are seeking contract professionals for Client Technician roles supporting Client. This challenging and rewarding opportunity is perfect for individuals looking to join a growing business in a career role. The position includes on-the-job training (approximately 3 weeks) to quickly acquire critical technical skills. Successful candidates may be considered for permanent roles based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate assigned chemical and/or gas distribution systems.
  • Handle and change out gas, chemical, and slurry containers.
  • Troubleshoot gas and chemical equipment, performing preventative and repair maintenance.
  • Conduct computer operations to support job functions and customer needs.
  • Support quality systems and maintain compliance with safety protocols.
Physical Attributes:
  • Walk up to 5 or 6 miles per day.
  • Occasionally climb a tanker truck (18-wheeler) using fall protection to off-load chemicals.
  • May need to wear a Contained Breathing Air Respirator while working with chemicals (approximately 10-15 minutes).
  • Lift up to 40 lbs; bend knees and reach overhead as required.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided, including safety glasses, hard hats, ear plugs, chemical aprons, gloves, etc.
  • Workers will receive a voucher for required safety boots.
  • Complete a Fit for Duty Evaluation prior to starting and annually, which includes a Pulmonary Function Test, audiogram baseline, and physical exam.
  • Complete hazardous communication training (Right to Know) before commencing work.
Required Qualifications:
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Valid Driver's License.
  3. Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  4. Mechanical aptitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience in maintenance, equipment technician roles, or in a mechanical/electronic environment.
  2. Familiarity with chemical and gas distribution equipment.
  3. Military training is a plus.
  4. Strong technical aptitude and excellent communication skills.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Desire to learn; college graduates or individuals with a military background are encouraged to apply.
