Profee Surgical Coder

3-month contract to hire 

Job summary:

A Texas healthcare organization is looking to bring on a remote ProFee Coder specializing in Urology and Gynecology surgical procedures. Responsibilities include:

• Coding Urology and Gynecology procedures and surgeries
• Communicating with providers directly
• Code cases, work edits, and review submitted charges
• Billing practices for bundling
• Looking at outstanding holds and charges (missing slips) and update reports accordingly
• Tracking with a production sheet
• Attending a weekly huddle with their supervisor and a bi-weekly huddle with the entire team

Must haves:

• CPC or COC certification (AAPC)
• 2-5 years Urology or Gynecology surgical coding experience
• Experience working in a ProFee setting
• Ability to meet and maintain a 95% quality accuracy standard
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Experience working for large organization
• Tech savvy

Plusses:

• CCSP
• Experience with any of the following systems: IDX, Athena1, lomedG2, PMD

Compensation:

$_27__/hr to $__30__/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
