Blazer Jobs is excited to announce a rewarding contract position for a Special Education Teaching Assistant (Paraprofessional) within a local school district. This role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting special education students in a collaborative school environment. We area full-service special education provider with over three decades of hiring experience and thousands of school partnerships nationwide. General Position Details:

  • Title: Special Education Teaching Assistant / Paraprofessional
  • Maternity Coverage: January 2nd-31st (off on 1/20) February 3rd-13th, with the opportunityof moving tothe districts otherschool when she returns.
  • Hours: Standard School Day (M-F)7:55AM - 3:25PM
  • Pay: Starting at $23.00+ per hour, based on years of relevant experience in a school setting.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to special education students, assisting with classroom activities and individualized learning plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers and specialists to implement IEPs, behavioral plans, and accommodations.
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive environment to encourage student development and engagement.
  • Assist special education students with daily tasks and routines, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associates degree or relevant college coursework is a plus.
  • Paraprofessional Certification or Substitute Teaching Certification is a plus.
  • Prior experience working with children or young adults with special needs is highly preferred.
