University Health's Inpatient Therapy Department is looking for a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join their team of caring professionals This positions is Full Time and includes working with our adult population.

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists in carrying out physical therapy treatment programs for inpatients and outpatients under the direction and supervision of licensed physical therapists.
  • Assists with educational, administrative, managerial, and quality control duties.
  • Performs technical work in all phases of patient treatment.
  • Assists in maintaining safety and cleanliness of the patient care area, supplies and equipment in optimum condition to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Participates effectively with other members of the health care team for maximum patient benefit and efficiency.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Associates Degree from a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Experience preferred but not required.
  • Meets clinical and leadership activities and behaviors as defined in the clinical ladder or equivalent.

LICENSURE

  • Must have and maintain a current license to practice as a physical therapist assistant issued by the Texas State Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners.
  • Must have current American Heart Association, Basic Cardiac Life Support and Health Care Provider card.
