Job Title: Special Education Teacher (K-12 Caseload)
Location:Elgin, IL

Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: Competitive Hourly and Weekly Pay

We are currently hiring a Special Education Teacher to join our team This full-time, onsite position offers the opportunity to work with K-12 students, providing specialized instruction and support tailored to their individual needs. You'll collaborate with a dynamic and supportive advisory team, dedicated to helping you grow and succeed in this impactful role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Modify and adapt instructional materials to accommodate different learning styles and disabilities.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to ensure student success.
  • Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
  • Provide individualized and small-group instruction in both academic and social skills.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with parents and school staff.
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid Illinois Special Education Teaching License.
  • Experience working with K-12 students in special education settings.
  • Proficiency in developing and managing IEPs.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Strong understanding of state and federal special education laws and regulations.
