Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. The Speech-Language Pathologist will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders in students. We are looking for a dedicated professional who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of students and families in Calera.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to evaluate students' communication abilities and identify areas of need.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and intervention strategies to address speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with diverse communication needs, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language disorders.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication skills in the classroom and educational settings.
  • Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust intervention plans as needed to promote growth and achievement.
  • Provide consultation and training to school staff on strategies for supporting students with communication disorders.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, progress reports, and therapy sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid Alabama state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Alabama Educator Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) issued by the Alabama State Department of Education.
  • Previous experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school or educational setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and best practices in speech-language pathology.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
