Leasing Coordinator

Job Summary

As a Leasing Consultant, you will be instrumental in managing property leasing processes while delivering outstanding customer service. Reporting to the Director of Multi-Family Operations, your role involves utilizing your expertise in property management and data entry, particularly with Yardi software, to streamline operations. Your strong communication and conflict management skills will enhance tenant relations and ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations. With a focus on negotiation and administrative tasks, you will contribute to the overall success of our property management team and foster a positive living environment for residents.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist prospective residents in touring the property and showcasing available units.

• Provide information on rental rates, lease terms, and community amenities.

• Conduct background checks and verify rental applications.

• Prepare lease agreements and ensure all required documents are completed accurately.

• Collect rental payments and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.

• Coordinate move-ins and move-outs, conducting unit inspections as necessary.

• Address resident inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.

• Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) software to track leads and follow up with prospects.

• Assist with marketing efforts, including creating advertisements and hosting open houses.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in leasing or property management preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with prospects and residents.

• Proficiency in data entry and office software applications.

• Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi.

• Ability to upsell additional services or amenities to prospective residents.

• Excellent conflict management skills to handle resident complaints or disputes.

• Attention to detail for accurately completing lease agreements and maintaining files.
