Tax Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Manager - CPA firm

Duties

• Oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.

• Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and laws, including SOX requirements.

• Manage the tax provision process, including account analysis and double entry bookkeeping.

• Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and corporate accounting practices.

• Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.

• Analyze tax implications of business transactions and provide strategic advice to management.

• Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization.

• Utilize accounting software, including Sage, to maintain accurate records of all tax-related transactions.

• Lead training sessions for staff on tax-related matters as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

• Proven experience in tax management or a similar role within corporate accounting.

• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.

• Proficiency in accounting software; experience with Sage is a plus.

• Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements is highly desirable.

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform account analysis effectively.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities.

• Effective communication skills for presenting complex information clearly.
