Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Manager - CPA firm
Duties
Oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and laws, including SOX requirements.
Manage the tax provision process, including account analysis and double entry bookkeeping.
Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and corporate accounting practices.
Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
Analyze tax implications of business transactions and provide strategic advice to management.
Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization.
Utilize accounting software, including Sage, to maintain accurate records of all tax-related transactions.
Lead training sessions for staff on tax-related matters as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Proven experience in tax management or a similar role within corporate accounting.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software; experience with Sage is a plus.
Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform account analysis effectively.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities.
Effective communication skills for presenting complex information clearly.
