Location: Near Folsom, CA

Hours: 21 hours per week
Duration: August 20th, 2024 - June 6th, 2025

Credentials Required:

  • Valid CA Pupil Personnel Services (PPS): School Psychologist credential

Responsibilities:
The School Psychologist will primarily focus on the development of behavior plans and assessments for students within the school system. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to create effective behavior intervention plans tailored to individual student needs.
  • Conducting assessments and evaluations to identify academic, behavioral, emotional, and social challenges.
  • Analyzing assessment data to provide recommendations for appropriate interventions and accommodations.
  • Providing counseling and support services to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral difficulties.
  • Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and providing input on student goals and services.
  • Implementing and monitoring progress of behavior plans and interventions.

Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
  • Valid CA Pupil Personnel Services (PPS): School Psychologist credential.
  • Experience in developing behavior plans and conducting assessments in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of psychological principles and theories as they apply to educational settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in special education.
