Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Clean Room Extrusion Operator for the 1st shift (7am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday) on a 6-month contract-to-hire basis. You will work in a clean room environment, operating rubber extrusion machines and contributing to the production of life-saving medical tubing.

Responsibilities
  • Operate rubber extrusion machines in a clean room environment
  • Feed silicone and rubber materials into the machine
  • Cut products to size based on work instructions
  • Package products and prepare them for shipment
  • Perform machine changeovers as needed
  • Prepare machines for tubing runs according to work instructions
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Conduct quality checks and visual inspections of products
  • Document inspection results
  • Stand at the machine for the entire shift as machines run continuously
Essential Skills
  • At least 1 year of machine operator experience
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Willingness to work Saturdays if needed
  • Ability to follow work instructions and meet production goals
  • Comfortable wearing clean room attire, including suits, hair nets, and beard nets if applicable
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs and stand for the entire shift
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience with injection mold machines
  • Experience working in clean room or sterile environments
  • Knowledge of FDA compliance and GMP environments
  • Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing

Work Environment

You will work in an extremely clean, temperature-controlled environment with AC in the summer and heating in the winter. The facility includes sterile rooms maintained at 68 degrees. Employees are provided with lockers and paper gowns, which are worn before each shift. Tennis shoes are acceptable attire. GMP and FDA requirements mandate that employees tie back their hair, wear hair nets and beard nets if applicable, and avoid wearing fake nails, makeup, false eyelashes, piercings, or jewelry. No food or drink is allowed in the clean room area.
