Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in Winesap, VA. In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech and language disorders, providing essential support to help them improve their communication skills and achieve academic success.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on each students needs.
• Provide direct therapy services to students and monitor their progress regularly.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom and home environments.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and student outcomes.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, offering insights and recommendations for students speech and language goals.
• Stay current with best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Valid license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Virginia.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and educational staff.
• Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
