Job Description

As a Service Technician, you will respond to local and some over-the-road service calls to car and truck washes. This role involves significant mechanical and electrical work. Training will be provided, with new hires spending the first 1-3 months shadowing an experienced technician.

Responsibilities
  • Cultivate relationships with current customers to strengthen customer retention.
  • Provide one-on-one consultations with customers to ensure complete satisfaction and resolve any issues.
  • Operate forklifts, skid loaders, and pettibooms with safety and awareness.
  • Consistently demonstrate proficient knowledge and skill in troubleshooting and installation of electrical, plumbing, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Communicate with the Service Manager and peers on day-to-day service and installation duties.
  • Write invoices for service work provided and ensure parts are ordered to complete jobs if not available.
  • Contribute to warehouse duties, including receiving chemicals, inventory management, shipping chemicals, shipping parts, and putting inventory away.
  • Maintain inventory in provided work vehicle.
  • Keep the provided work vehicle clean and organized.
  • Keep all receipts and be accountable for company credit card and gas card expenses.
  • Fill out daily log sheets.
  • Travel 25% or more.
  • Lift 75 lbs or more occasionally.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in mechanical or electrical fields.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and install electrical, plumbing, pneumatics, and hydraulics systems.
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to pass an MVR.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanics, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, power tools, and blueprint reading.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in repair, maintenance technician, maintenance mechanics, maintenance repair, plumbing.
  • Ability to retain information and learn new skills.
  • Preferred but not required: Experience in preventive maintenance.

Work Environment

Candidates will drive a company van with another tech to different job sites until fully trained and able to work independently. After training, service calls will typically be handled alone, while installations will involve a group of 3-4 techs. Service Technicians are provided with a company laptop, tablet, cell phone, service van, and credit card. The role includes travel (about 25%+), and on-call rotation one weekend per month, with extra compensation for on-call duty and overtime.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00
