Job DescriptionJob Description

The Quality Control (QC) Inspector is responsible for supporting quality assurance activities for incoming customer products, as well as in-process and final product inspections, using customer drawings and process documentation. The role requires adherence to the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and standards such as IPC-610, IPC-620, IPC-771/7721, J-STD-001, and workmanship criteria to evaluate and determine product acceptance. Daily responsibilities will follow instructions provided by the Quality Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect printed circuit assemblies and components following customer drawings, specifications, and process sheets, utilizing microscopes as needed.
  • Operate basic measurement equipment accurately.
  • Interpret tolerances and apply sound judgment in inspections.
  • Conduct inspections for incoming, in-process, and final product stages as required.
  • Collaborate effectively with manufacturing and warehouse teams.
  • Prioritize tasks and follow directions from the Supervisor and/or Quality Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Key Competencies:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; 3+ years of manufacturing experience is essential, with quality control experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PDF, and experience with data entry, scanning, and emailing.
  • Familiarity with IPC-610, IPC-771/7721, and J-STD-001 workmanship standards.
  • Basic math skills, strong communication abilities, and knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI) are advantageous.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
