Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive speech and language services to students with communication disorders in a school setting. This role involves conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of students speech, language, voice, and fluency skills to identify communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in groups, to address speech and language deficits.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom and home environments.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights and recommendations for students speech and language development.
  • Educate staff and parents on speech and language disorders, providing strategies and resources to support student communication.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with federal, state, and school regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current Minnesota State License in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) Speech-Language Pathologist License or eligibility to obtain.
  • Experience working with children in a school setting preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid Minnesota drivers license and reliable transportation.
  • Fingerprint clearance and background check as required by the school district.
  • Tuberculosis (TB) test clearance.
