Job Description: Speech-Language Pathologist (School-Based)

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure and Certification:
    • New Hampshire State License in Speech-Language Pathology (required).
    • Certificate of Clinical petence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (preferred).
    • New Hampshire Department of Education certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (required for school-based positions).
  • Experience:
    • Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
    • Experience working with students who have speech, language, or munication disorders.
  • Skills:
    • Strong munication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to develop and implement effective therapy plans.
    • Experience in working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Background check and fingerprint clearance as required by New Hampshire state law for school employees.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. This school-based role involves working with students to assess, diagnose, and treat munication and swallowing disorders, helping them reach their full potential in an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct prehensive evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and munication disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals.
  • Provide therapy sessions, both individually and in groups, tailored to students' specific needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic and social success.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in pliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide remendations for acmodations and modifications.
  • Stay current with best practices, research, and technology in speech-language pathology.
