Material Handler

Job Description
Candidates will be responsible for both material handler responsibilities (position below the Operator B) and operator duties as they progress. Candidates will pelletize materials, load/unload trucks, use a forklift when needed, and downpack chemicals. Duties include chemical handling and hooking up barrels or end-use containers to piping systems for chemical downpacking for shipment. Candidates will regularly operate forklifts to transport materials; however, this is not a forklift role but a chemical operator in training position. Candidates must have MT1 Certification (1 year in Manufacturing) and forklift experience on sit-down lifts.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 5 Month(s).
Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in South Chesterfield, Virginia.
Work EnvironmentClean, chemical processing environment. Work in plant and control room eventually. Piping systems make it warmer in the winter, and it does get warm in summer. Safe environment with almost a perfect record since opening 15 years ago for recordable injuries.
