Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Assembler to join our production team. The ideal candidate will follow detailed work instructions to assemble components using basic hand tools, perform visual inspections, and ensure that assembled products meet quality standards. The role requires basic computer skills to document and scan materials before and after assembly. There is openings on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift position with a shift premium on top of the base pay.

Responsibilities
  • Follow work instructions to assemble components.
  • Use basic hand tools for assembly tasks.
  • Perform visual inspections to ensure product quality.
  • Pass assembled components to the next person or place on a rack for quality check.
  • Use a computer to document and scan materials before and after assembly.
Essential Skills
  • At least 1 year of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 6+ months of experience using common hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, and screw guns.
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Mechanical experience, such as car maintenance or home renovations.
  • Soldering experience, including the use of soldering tools and repair of electronics.
  • Experience with circuit board assembly.

Work Environment

Work in a clean room style production environment where special shoe inserts are required to prevent static damage to equipment. The production floor is busy, with over 50 people working at any given time, making labeled restricted areas and designated walkways essential. As a project-based company, meeting deadlines may require occasional overtime.

1st shift is 6:00am-2:00pm

2nd shift is 2:00pm-10:00pm

3rd shift is 10:00pm-6:00am

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn Hills, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00
