We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in the construction industry, based in Northern Cincinnati. The role involves the meticulous administration of payroll within and beyond the ERP system, maintaining employee payroll records, and ensuring compliance with various wage requirements.


Responsibilities:

• Accurate and efficient processing of field payrolls through the ERP system and other platforms

• Verification and entry of various types of pay, including vacation, sick, and holiday pay

• Maintenance and updating of employee payroll records

• Auditing of timekeeping records to ensure compliance with standards and regulations

• Processing of check adjustments and shortages as necessary

• Ensuring adherence to special rate requirements, including overtime, prevailing wages, and union rates

• Handling of unemployment, certified payrolls, garnishments, and CIP reports

• Proficiency with Viewpoint Vista and Excel Formulas for various payroll.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably within the construction/contractor industry.
• Proficiency in using Viewpoint Vista software for payroll management.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel Formulas to process and manage payroll data.
• Demonstrated understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong numerical aptitude and data entry skills.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a team.
• High level of organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Proven ability to work independently and make decisions under minimal supervision.
