Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Remote (California)
Position Type: Full-time/Part-time
Pay: $55/Hour

Key Responsibilities:
Assessment and Diagnosis:

  • Conduct virtual assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Interpret assessment results and prepare comprehensive evaluation reports in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Therapy and Intervention:

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (ITPs) based on students' needs and IEP goals.
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy through virtual platforms, utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Monitor and document students' progress and adjust therapy approaches as needed.

Collaboration and Consultation:

  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support students' communication needs within the classroom setting.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise on speech and language goals and services.
  • Offer consultation and training to school staff and parents on strategies to support speech and language development.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and other required records.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal laws, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and California education regulations.
  • Adhere to the ethical guidelines and standards of practice as established by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).


Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist license.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
  • Must hold or be eligible for a California Clinical Rehabilitative Services Credential in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred.
  • Experience with virtual service delivery and teletherapy platforms is a plus.
