We are seeking a skilled Mig Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate must be willing to work 1st or 2nd shift, either from 6am - 2pm or 2pm - 10pm. The role involves reading blueprints and schematics, applying welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, or repair parts of metal or other weldable materials as specified by work orders, blueprints, sketches, or charts. The candidate will be responsible for laying out and marking weld points on parts or sub-assemblies, positioning pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides, and steps using measuring instruments, and ensuring all completed work conforms to specifications. The candidate will perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures and will engage in fabrication and other tasks when welding work is slower.

Responsibilities
  • Read blueprints and schematics.
  • Apply appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, or repair parts of metal or other weldable materials.
  • Lay out and mark weld points on parts or sub-assemblies.
  • Position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides, and steps using measuring instruments.
  • Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Engage in fabrication and other tasks when welding work is slower.
Essential Skills
  • 6 months - 2 years of demonstrated welding experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of all safety procedures pertaining to welding.
  • Experience in welding, press brake, shears, burn table, blueprint reading, weld symbols, and mechanical abilities.
  • Experience welding out of positions (vertical, overhead, pulse, or short arc).
  • Weld certification preferably AWS D 1.1 structural welding on MIG (3G or 4G) and familiarity with NDT (Nondestructive Testing) PT and MT.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • TIG welding experience, stainless steel, and aluminum welding experience is a plus.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
