Job Description

As a Machine Operator, you will work as a CNC operator, handling a variety of different CNC machines. You will receive job packets/work orders detailing everything you need to know about each job, including BOM, run size, and blueprints. You will gather materials, read blueprints, and begin the job order. Your responsibilities will include making, cutting, forming, shearing, burning the product, and relaying this information to the next person. Welding (MIG) and forming experience are highly valued. The press brakes are CNC operated, so CNC experience is ideal.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a variety of CNC machines.
  • Receive and understand job packets/work orders.
  • Gather materials and begin job orders.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.
  • Manufacture products by cutting, forming, shearing, and burning materials.
  • Relay manufacturing information to the next person.
  • Welding (MIG) and forming tasks.
Essential Skills
  • Machine operator experience (1+ year).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience with various machines (Drill, Press, Plasma, CNC).
  • Good computer skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Supervisory or lead experience.
  • Press brake experience.
  • Fitting and welding experience (MIG).

Work Environment

This position is within a job shop manufacturing environment with about 40 employees on the first shift. You will work in one of two buildings that may get hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Safety glasses, steel toe shoes, jeans, and appropriate T-shirts are required attire. The work hours are Monday-Friday, 6 AM-2:30 PM, with 45-50 hour weeks in the summer and occasional mandatory overtime.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
