Job Description:Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a skilled and dedicated Travel MRI Technologist for a 16-week contract position in Norfolk, VA. This role involves working day shifts, Monday to Friday, providing an excellent opportunity for an experienced MRI Technologist to advance their career in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform various MRI procedures with and without contrast using Siemens MRI equipment.
- Prepare exam rooms, obtain informed consent, and gather accurate clinical history.
- Review patient history and determine appropriate MRI protocols.
- Explain examination methods, position patients, and ensure their comfort and safety during procedures.
- Ensure the quality of MRI images and coordinate the preparation of images/exams for physician review.
- Document and communicate patient-related information thoroughly and accurately.
- Monitor MRI equipment performance, report issues, and perform necessary maintenance.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to accommodate inpatient and ED TAT needs.
Qualifications:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification required.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hospital experience as an MRI Technologist.
- Experience with Siemens MRI equipment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Ability to work day shifts, Monday to Friday.
- Strong understanding of MRI safety protocols.
- Excellent technical skills in operating MRI equipment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and work well under pressure.
- Demonstrated commitment to high standards of patient care and professionalism.
- Ability to travel to and from the workplace.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen in accordance with Joint Commission standards.
