Pharmacy Technician High-Volume Mail Order Facility FL

We are a large, high-volume mail order pharmacy in Boynton Beach dedicated to providing efficient, accurate, and compassionate care to our patients. We are looking for a skilled Pharmacy Technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to excellence in patient service.
Position Overview:
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring our patients receive their medications accurately and on time. Working closely with licensed pharmacists, you will manage inventory, prepare prescriptions, and maintain pharmacy operations in our high-demand facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Medication Preparation: Prepare, fill, and label prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, including pulling prepackaged medications and obtaining stock containers.
- Packaging and Labeling: Utilize packaging and labeling equipment to prepackage oral and external medications.
- Order Processing: Pick up/receive physician orders, review for completeness, check drug formularies, and maintain Pharmacy Patient Medication Profiles.
- Prescription Labeling: Accurately interpret physician directions and type prescription labels.
- Inventory Management: Order medications and supplies, receive and verify deliveries, restock medication shelves, and maintain stock records. Rotate and remove outdated drugs.
- Pharmacy Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, including equipment and counters, ensuring a well-organized environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to remain stationary 50% of the time and move boxes weighing up to 20 pounds as needed across the pharmacy.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Active and current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Florida.
- Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to carefully review orders, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with all pharmacy protocols.
