Full-Time School-Based Behavior Technician
Location: Auburn, WA

Position Overview:
We are seeking a committed and skilled Behavior Technician to join our school-based team in Auburn, WA. This full-time position starts immediately and extends through June 13, 2025, providing essential behavioral support within a self-contained classroom setting. Working alongside a dedicated teacher and another paraprofessional, the Behavior Technician will support students in achieving positive behavioral and academic outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for a Behavior Technician trained in behavioral restraint procedures and Right Response, with a passion for helping students in a supportive, structured environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work with students in a self-contained classroom, assisting with behavior management and implementing individualized behavior intervention plans.
- Utilize behavioral restraint procedures and Right Response techniques to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
- Collaborate closely with the classroom teacher and other paraprofessional to monitor and support student progress.
- Provide one-on-one and small-group support to help students stay engaged and on-task.
- Document behavioral data and report on student progress regularly.
- Maintain a calm, positive, and proactive approach to handling challenging behaviors.
- Support classroom activities and transitions in alignment with behavior plans and student goals.

Qualifications:
- Experience working with students with behavioral needs in a school or similar setting.
- Training in behavioral restraint procedures and Right Response certification (or ability to obtain certification promptly).
- Strong understanding of behavior management strategies and techniques.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with students, staff, and families.
- Compassion, patience, and commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Schedule and Compensation:
- Full-time position from now until June 13, 2025.
- Starting pay: $28 per hour.
