Special Education TeacherDo youbelieve that every child is unique and capable of greatness in the classroom?ProCare Therapy is currently searching for a skilled and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join one of our trusted school districts situated in the welcoming community of Franklin Park, IL.As Special Education Teacher in this role,you will provide specialized instruction and support to students with significant cognitive, physical, or emotional disabilities. You will develop individualized education programs (IEPs), deliver adaptive curriculum, and work closely with a team of specialists and support staff to ensure students reach their fullest potential.

Job Description

  • Full time
  • M-F
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Middle school caseload
  • Co-teaching/Resource classroom
  • Staff meeting 1x per month - out at 5pm at the latest
  • More details to be discussed upon interview

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or higher
  • PEL with LBS1 - highly preferred
  • Active State Teaching License
  • Active State Certification -District will accept these two certification options:
    • short term emergency approval in area of special education
    • endorsement/approvals in special education K-8
  • Severe experience highlighted on resume
  • Able to develop and implement IEPs while coordinating with internal departments
  • Experience working with students with multiple disabilities
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and a background check

Interview Process

  • 10-15 minute screening call with a ProCare Recruiter
  • 30 mins-1 hrvirtual/in-person interview with school district
  • Offer is typically within 24 hours of virtual interview

As a ProCare employee, you will be paid on a weekly basis through direct deposit. Your hourly rate will be dependent upon your experience and education.
