Job Opportunity: Full-Time School Psychologist (Contract)

Location: Sandy, Oregon

Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced School Psychologist for a full-time contract position in Sandy, Oregon. We are looking for dedicated professionals who meet all requirements set by local and state regulations and have a passion for working with special education students and their families.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Valid license or certification as a School Psychologist in Oregon, ensuring compliance with all local and state regulations.
  • Minimum of one year of recent experience working as a School Psychologist, with a strong preference for experience with special education students and families.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational assessments to evaluate cognitive, academic, emotional, and behavioral functioning of students.
  • Interpret assessment results to identify students' strengths and needs and make appropriate recommendations for interventions and accommodations.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized intervention plans and support strategies.
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral difficulties.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to contribute insights and recommendations related to students' academic and behavioral goals.
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop behavior intervention plans to address challenging behaviors in school settings.
  • Provide consultation and training to school staff and parents on topics related to child development, behavior management, and learning strategies.
