Position: Special Education Teacher
Location:Fort Lupton, Colorado
Duration: Full Time for 2024/2025 school year
Caseload:Generalist, specifics will be discussed during interview;

additionalpositions available at the Elementary School

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the positions arefilled.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IEPs.
  • Customize instruction to effectively address a range of learning styles and abilities.
  • Utilize diverse teaching methods and innovative technologies to actively engage students.
  • Monitor student progress closely and adapt teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely withteachers, counselors, and specialists.
  • Maintain open and consistent communication with parents/guardians regarding student achievements and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • Possession of a valid Colorado Special Education Teaching License or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Proven experience working with students who have diverse learning needs.
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs tailored to individual student requirements.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to build positive relationships.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of effective evidence based behavior management techniques and positive behavior supports.
  • Ability to excel within a collaborative team environment.
